Yesterday I made the mistake of going to bed with wet hair...that was torture! I felt like an icecube all night long. I just couldn't get warm. My pillow was damp and my whole body felt damp.
I heard Sasha barking this morning...she must have slept well. Poor thing...how does SHE keep warm. Having her INDOORS is OUT OF THE QUESTION!
The sun is coming out! Those warm rays trickle in brightening up our frosty igloo...rays of warmth, rays of hope. A new day has begun...let us rejoice and be glad in it!

I like it cool when I sleep, but that is COLD! BRRR! That is cuddle up cold. You need an electric blanket.
I'm sorry, but this is just soooo hard for me to believe! My last impression was of undeniable SWEAT!!! Go out and sit by your neighbors' fires. There's always a few to be found around there. :)
Another option, bake another one of those kumquat cakes and warm up that kitchen!!
"Who is Al Gore?"
I remember shoving dishtowels in the cracks around the window at Oscar's Mom's to keep that cold from coming in on my head. And then I think of the lady w/o a door or windows, who was so happy with a crocheted afgan from A.J. I'm glad your cold doesn't last as long as ours does.
Dogs have a nice covering of thick hair to keep warm. Don't worry about Sasha. Here in Ohio, they usually tell us to take our pets in when it is a lot colder.
I like your last paragraph.
That is cold. Bethany called and said it was -5C there! I can never go to bed with wet hair. Hope it warms up soon. Lilly
