This picture was taken one year ago on my mother-in-law's birthday, October 7th, 2008.Just a few days ago we were planning this year's birthday reunion. (Last year there were more than 70, including: brothers, sisters, grandkids and great-grandkids.)
We decided to meet on her birthday, anyway, this year for a memorial reunion and family time.

I don't know why , but her expression reminds me of Aunt Anna Simovic. She has a sweetness about her that only comes to women who have come through the hard times by trusting in the Lord.
Thanks for sharing this picture, Karen, it made me think of the women I have loved and seen go on to glory with the Lord.
It will be a good family time to get together for her birthday. Everyone will be remembering her on that day anyhow, and it will be a good sharing/caring time. We'll keep the family reunion in our prayers, too.
