I love the bright colors of Paraguay. Whole trees in bloom just lift my spirits. How can a whole tree have so many flowers? I wish I could have every tree in Paraguay that blooms in different shades of purple, pink, red, orange, white and yellow. I love it when the flowers fall on the ground and you have to sweep up colorful flowers. I love it when they blow across the street with the wind. I saw a little street-boy in town the other day pick up a handfull of flowers from the ground that fell off the tree. He threw them up in the air while he stood underneath. He seemed so happy. (Oscar reached out and gave him a quarter...then he was even happier!) These beautiful, earthly colors are just a reminder of the beautiful, heavenly colors we will soon see!

That's my favorite tree! Probably my favorite plant here period. The North Americans should come see it. And while they're here...

Your beautiful flowering trees make me long for some warmer weather! I'm just thankful God's promises of the seasons holds true. Spring is coming to Ohio...eventually.
One thing I love about the climates nearer the equator is their abundance of flowers. I remember swimming in a river in Brazil and diving in through flowers--something that we would have to create in Ohio.
Thanks for sharing the beauty. It's needed here in OH on this very cold winter day! Lilly
The contrast of your colors to Annette's dark branches with snow on her blog are striking! Want to switch for a while?
Do they smell as good as they look?
I think we have the same trees here. And yes, Liz, most of these trees or bushes are in bloom most of the time.
