Día del Niño

August 16th is "Día del Niño" - Kid's Day...
Yesterday we had a party at church for all the neighborhood kids. I made those fancy cakes! Today we had parties at school. I stopped at the supermarket after school and there was a clown there making animals out of long balloons for all the kids who went into Super 6. Many schools, churches, companies, or neighborhoods will put together some sort of party for the Paraguayan kids. Jazmin (Oscar's niece) was one of the clowns. Here are some pictures of our party..

The cakes are beautiful,
I guess every day in the US is kid's day- that's why we don't have one specified.

Looks like the kids are having so much fun! The cakes look like they're such a treat for the kids, too.
Happy kids' day!

Once again, a wonderful Paraguayan holiday! At what age are you no longer a nino so that you can't participate?
