Mother's Day Tea

Brandon's grade had a fundraiser - a Mother's Day Tea. It was really nice. Organized by them! They had some kids from their grade do special numbers. Sophia sang a song in English and in Spanish. Brandon and his friend, Gabriel were the MC's. I made little chipas for the occasion. (Brandon told me the night before that all moms from their grade had to donate something.) I met some new moms from school and it was really a fun activity! The backround decoration is for Independance day...May 15th.
The next day, Gaby's grade had a food fair and I was busy making 8 cakes and 50 cupcakes for that. We raised 1,400,000.000...guaranies! (Translates to: about $300) They are raising money for their end-of-the-year Iguazu Falls trip.
See, I really WAS busy the past couple of weeks!

I know I wouldn't have been invited anyway, but I MISS THIS STUFF! :)

Karen, sometimes I still can't figure out how you do it and also remain calm! I still have lots of lessons about being gracious to learn from you.

I love reading about the wonderful events you and your family plan and execute!
It is a little sad that you mothers had to do so much of the cooking for the tea, but then again, mothers tend to do whatever their sons ask them for a good cause!

Ditto to Heidi's comment. I too wondered why the Mom's had to prepare something for their own tea; shouldn't the kids have done that? Looks like you enjoyed it though. Lilly

Sounds like you're very busy.
The balloons all around really remind me of your parties in PY. :)
Moms get lots of requests the night before to get something for someone's classroom. Somehow, the kids will always know we have the time to do it.
Glad your fundraiser turned out so well, too.

Only the moms of 11th grade did the cooking. 11th grade did the fund raiser, and I'm an active mom of an 11th grader. The other moms only paid their ticket! I am usually very much involved with my kids' school, grade, friends, etc. It's hard work at times, but the handshakes, hugs, smiles and respect from B and G and their friends is what I'm after. :)
