Some of my North American blogger friends posted pictures of their snow storms and I wanted to post some pictures of our thunder storms. Today it rained so hard we had some leaking problems at school and also at home. The kids told me that many kids were not there today. Here in Paraguay, if the rain storm is so big, people stay home. The school kids would have had to cross a couple of "rivers" to get to school because there is no city drainage. Pastor Pedro told me that he felt his car floating with the current of the street water.
It rained all morning trying to cool off the heat and humidity we were experiencing.
My sky pictures are no where as good as another blogger friend's, but God's creative beauty can be seen EVERYWHERE...and His pictures are perfect!

I think your pictures are beautiful! We have some flooding too- but it is from snow melting and rain combined.
I LOVE your cloud pictures! Wow, they are amazing. And I can never get a good rain picture, so I am impressed with those, too.
This was the third day of school? Do you have "calamity" days (like snow days) that you can only have so many of?
I love it when it rains like that! It´s been a long time!
Those clouds are awesome! The 4th grade class I help in is studying the weather right now. Those clouds would be perfect for them to see.
Liz-No calamity days...just a day off of school. The students don't come, but the teachers HAVE to!
GramS- I have more cloud pictures. Remember when I did a science fair project on Clouds? Many times here in Paraguay the skies are clear and blue, but lately because of these DAILY thunder storms we see some beautiful formations and I started to take pictures of them.
I remember some of those storms and the river streets as well! I don't blame the kids for not trying to go out in that; they'd get washed away! Glad you are safe. Lilly
Might be storms and wet, but at least it's warm! More than you can say for OHIIO right now!
