Okay, so we went to Argentina last week. We had a super wonderful time visiting old friends and…guess what…we didn’t get to the wedding, because there were road blocks all the way there! The farmers are blocking roads with trucks and tractors on every major highway to Buenos Aires. Sometimes they let people through, sometimes they don’t. They didn’t let us through! We had to look for an alternative route through some campos and dirt roads. We decided that we didn’t want to deal with this all the way to Entre Rios (another 6 hours south), so we just stayed in Chaco.
They had a youth rally there on the weekend and we were excited to see people we haven’t seen for about 5 years. Some of these people I haven’t seen for 20 years! Lots of my single friends are married with teens just like mine. We were all trying to look younger, but obviously the years have gone by fast!
Brandon and Gaby made friends fast. They love meeting people and can easily find something in common; basketball, soccer, mp3s, DVDs, etc. They can talk about sports heroes…have you seen this?…have you heard that?...They have no problem with food and eat what is served. It’s fun to go places with them.
