Last night Oscar and i were talking on Skype. We seemed so near and clear. We could have been just rooms apart...but no, it was miles and miles! The saddest part of the conversation was when Edson picked up on his dad's voice and came running to the computer. He looked all around, saw Oscar's image on the video screen and said "Upa, papá, upa! (Hold me, daddy, hold me!) Awww, I don't know who was more nostalgic...Oscar or Edson.

Yeah- there are real basic limitations to Skype. But it is such a wonderful way to actually see who you are talking with.
Poor Edson. I bet he was sorely disappointed.

Thank God we have that ability to talk like this these days, though! Can you imagine the pioneer days when you wouldn't know if you would ever see your loved ones again?!
We talked to Edson, but when Oscar came into the room, Edson really started to chatter to him. Then you should have seen Oscar as Edson kept telling him upa, upa!
It was so cute, but my heart went out to both of them...all 3 of you.
