Wasting Time???

Last night I got distracted finding myself on a google map and thought you might like to see where we are...
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?f=q&hl=es&geocode=&ie=UTF8&t=k&msa=0&ll=-25.404108,-57.581964&spn=0.004032,0.004882&z=17&msid=103513512202011473796.00044f5a81704c69a0687 If you make the map smaller, I've added some other places like the school, the churches in BaƱado and San Pedro and was trying to get the one near Ciudad del Este on, but had some problems for the time being.
So, instead of blogging, I was playing, but IT WAS FUN.
Take a look!

THANK YOU!!! Last week I was trying to show my coworkers the school and your house, and I absolutely could not find them. I was in the right vicinity of the school, but I was looking north of the city for your house instead of south. Apparently my directions get messed up. :)

hahaha, that is soooo funny! I'm glad my "playing around" on google mapping served a good purpose!

I did this awhile back from the satellite pictures, before they had filled in all the street names on the map! I had to find large landmarks like the cerro or the airport and "drive" myself on the roads. I'm shocked you could find anything in San Pedro. The pictures must still be several years old b/c you can see the patio roof on your house and the big tree before it was cut down. In my opinion, not a waste of time - it gives you a different perspective on your world. The falls are amazing from above!

So, hisc1ay was looking for you north of the city? I really think south of the equator does mess up directions in our minds because the shadows fall south at noon instead of north. Dad said sundials go backwards, too. Think abuout it. Oh, well, just go back and enjoy yourself. We also have found the island in the river behind your house. I love maps.
